Winter sports: Cycling

Bicycle riding winter is becoming more common and equipping you as it should, and following the basic tips that we will give you, there is no reason to deprive you to ride in the cold season ! To begin, you must know that when temperatures drop, your hardware is more fragile and might suffer more. Thus, to ride safely, before you go on an adventure, always check that your transmission (bottom bracket, chain and derailleur) is in working order and that there is no snow or ice that is embedded, and thus avoid the hiccup. Also, feel free to always have at your disposal the liquid to defrost the locks, for your lock; it would be a shame to get stuck due to freezing ...

Equipment: If you bike in winter, protect, first, your hands and your head, often the first victims of the cold. So, equip yourself with a cap to be under your helmet (mandatory!), A pair of thick gloves (in case of falls, this will prevent scratches) and clothes that breathe while keeping you warm and dry and are preferably reflective! Moreover, this applies all year, not just in winter, you'll be better seen by motorists and therefore be safer.

Price: only the price of the equipment: bike, helmet and clothing. Otherwise, you do not need any license, it is not life grand?

Our advice: even though more than nine out of ten cyclists commit crimes when they are behind their handlebars, try to follow the rules of the road - yes, yes, it is also valid for the bikes - and respect other users. The two-wheeler accidents are less common than car crashes but are much more dangerous ?? And in winter, this is true doubly.
