A wedding is a long time. And besides, in summer, it's hot. So you need a long-wearing makeup that will resist tears in the finish of the bride, the hugs at wine reception and sweat on the dancefloor. The complexion is the canvas on which everything else will be hooked. So be it in the rules of art.
The base is the base
To resist all that, nothing better than a foundation base. I personally do not use it every day because it is difficult to find a base with a not too filthy composition. Most of the time, silicone and paraben are in the game. But hey, unusually for this kind of events, I allow myself to wear.
The advantage of foundations is that in addition to withstand your work complexion to the choreography of the macarena, they can have a corrective role. A green basic example helps blur redness. Lilac base boosts dull complexions. A pearlescent base will discreetly illuminate the face.
Rule # 2: a modular day / evening makeup
One does not necessarily have the time or inclination to change clothes between the day and the evening, but we can at least adapt her makeup. Nothing worse than to show up at 15h at the ceremony with an evening make up. Honestly, you will regret looking at the pictures the next day. But it's also a bit frustrating not to have fun with nice make up on the dancefloor. So you have to compromise.
Eyes :
I suggest you choose a nice bright iridescent color. A color that goes well catch the light and give your look fresh and alert air. Beige, gray, cream, pink, champagne, copper, many colors may agree, as long as they are light and do not weigh down your look.
For the evening, it just enough for you to darken a bit the palm of your eyelid with a brown or black mascara to give a little more depth to your look. Or even maybe try to melt a flashy color. Feel free to darken the base of your lashes with a black pencil to give the impression that they are provided. Unless you completely remove makeup eyes, I strongly advise you mascara retouching. Lipstick
Long lasting, it is the watchword. Even if you are not married, you will spend the day to kiss dozens of strangers. And nobody wants to be the girl who leaves her lipstick on all cheeks, it's bad form it appears. And even without that, among champagnes cuts and roast pigeon, your lips are going to need help. So forget your classic red stick: it will not be shocked.
Several options are available to you.
Option 1: You have already done a nice job on the eyes and you do not care that much to wear lipstick. In this case, the gloss or tinted lip balm are your best allies. I take this opportunity to you talk about one of my great discovery of the month: new Kiss Balm Kiko. Tinted balms and of really really comfortable with a relatively decent outfit.
Rule # 3: we do not forget the nails
Have the dress, the shoes, the bun, the make up, and arrive with your hands idle, it's still a shame. So be sure to get a manicure, even simple. As always, it is a matter of taste. But I think for a wedding, especially if you have a make up some elaborate, it is better to take it easy on the nail art. A beautiful color neither too flashy nor too discreet to match your shoes or your pocket for example, can be a good option. Personally, for this kind of opportunity, I am a fan of pastel colors (yes, I know, it's not very original). And nothing prevents you to make a small nail emphasis to wake it up!
Rule # 4: Prepare your survival kit
Here's what I suggest you slip into your pocket to be able to touch up during the day and evening.
- a compact powder (to put some order in a tone that would have a little changed and reattach everything. Do not abuse either, at the risk of the mug plastered)
- failing powder, oil blotting sheets, ideal against damage from perspiration, especially for oily skin
- a concealer (this is optional and especially if you do not have the time to go to your hotel before the evening. To be used in editing only after cleansing the area. Nothing worse than to reapply cream product over another cream product that lived: caky effect insured)
- a blush
- a lipstick
- of removing or refreshing wipes (I do not recommend usual, but I must admit that travel size, it's still easier to transport her makeup remover bottle)
- your jumbo eyeshadow (if you used it to make up)
