Sport and rules: stop myths!

Fitness courses, swimming, jogging ... Whether you are a casual sports or an accomplished athlete you have questions about the practice of physical activity during your period. What protection choose? Can I do anything? What is the impact on the cycle? Here's a guide to keep fit by being female ...

Do I play sports during my period?

You can absolutely all sports, even during your period. It is no excuse that we must try to move your gym teacher if you want to escape during EPS. Unless of course you are bedridden with excruciating stomach pains. In that case, talk to your doctor.

Do I have to put a stamp?

regles_sport Absolutely not. The choice is yours. You can very well use a towel to sports, however, be sure to take in enough absorbent, because you might have a little more heavy losses. There are models with adhesive strips that allow the towel to not move while you run. Whatever your choice, be sure to change just before your current protection.

Can I go swimming?

Yes of course ! But in this case, can not use a towel. This is gorgerait water and could no longer absorb the blood of your rules. Then use a buffer. If we usually advise to change every 4-5 hours is recommended for swimming change just before and after swimming.

Why young top athletes have no rules?

The sport at the highest level can affect the menstrual cycle and cause amenorrhea, that is to say an absence of rules. It is assumed that the reduction of body fat is the cause of an estrogen deficiency. We also know that in certain sports such as dance or gymnastics, extreme thinness, if not thinness, is considered an asset. Young women will then impose dietary restrictions such that their cycles are permanently disrupted
